Response after the Gospel Chas Friday, June 4, 2010

Question:

Is it proper to sing an "allelia" after the Gospel is read rather than singing "Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ"?
Or should there be any singing at all after the Gospel and the congregation just respond?

Thanks

Question Answered by Mr. Jacob Slavek

Dear Chas,

No, the Alleluia is not to be repeated after the Gospel.  However the "Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ" may be sung, in fact the entire Gospel may be sung.

Mr. Slavek
