receiving dipped host Jane Thursday, January 1, 2009

Question:

Hello:

Hello:

As the Pope has started to have communion on the tongue and not hand and most priests seem to dip the host in the blood to ensure one receives on the tongue, what happens when a person can not under any circumstances receive the blood of Christ and althought the priest is aware of this will not make an exception? How is one to keep the minimum of receiving once a year?

Thank you
Jane

Question Answered by Mr. Jacob Slavek

Dear Jane,If the priest is not willing to make an exception, not even once a year, then I really think the problem is with the priest and not with you. You'll need help from another priest if he won't be reasonable with you and allow you to receive once per DAY.Mr. Slavek

(c) The titles of Acolyte and Lector belong exclusively to the Installed Offices of Acolyte and Lector, who are men (only) appointed by the Bishop. These roles performed by others are Altar Servers and Readers, respectively.
