Book of Revelation question. | Trevor | Wednesday, January 16, 2008 |
Question: Hello, During the Parousia, souls will be reunited with their bodies for a final judgement. Those still living will be judged as well. In the Creed, we say"...He will come again to judge the living and the dead." My question is, why will souls be reunited with their bodies for a final judgement if you have a judgement at your moment of death? If somebody died 100 years ago and was sent to Purgatory or Heaven, why would he need to be reunited with his body for another final judgement? I may be interpreting this part of the Scripture inncorrectly, but is has been on my mind a lot lately and i would really like it if you could starighten me out on this matter. Thanks. |

Dear Trevor: Since this question has nothing to do with Liturgy, it will be answered in the Faith and Spirituality Forum. Laity are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and should never be called Eucharistic Ministers. (b) There is no such Mass called the Novus Ordo. The Current Mass is the Roman Missal of 2000, or the Oridinary Form of the Mass. The Tridentine Mass is the Roman Missal of 1962, or the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. Please refrain from using the term, Novus Ordo. Thanks. (c) The titles of Acolyte and Lector belong exclusively to the Installed Offices of Acolyte and Lector, who are men (only) appointed by the Bishop. These roles performed by others are Altar Servers and Readers, respectively. |
