Question: I thought that the words to the "Come Holy Spirit" prayer were, "enkindle in US the fire of your love.Send forth your Spirir and WE shall be creatd. Now it's enkindle in them, and send forth your Spirit and THEY shall be created. Am I right or just getting old and senile? |

Dear Paul: I can find no references that use the term WE. It has always been "THEY". The prayer is a quotation of Psalms 104:30, which reads: "Thou shalt send forth thy spirit, and they shall be created: and thou shalt renew the face of the earth." (Douay-Rheims) God Bless, |
