Question: well this is about the Mass i attended awhile ago... during the consecration, i think the priest was not "fully awake" because instead of saying 'this is my body' while consecrating the bread, he said 'this is the cup of my blood.....' and repeated that when he consecrated the wine... well what do you think? i received communion because though i am in doubt of the validity, I received Jesus from the hosts in the tabernacle... hoping for enlightenment... |

Dear Jeff: Well, normally this would make the Mass invalid I think, but since this was a mistake borne of being half-asleep and not a purposeful intention on the part of the priest, perhaps God will excuse it.
