dreams of adoring the Eucharist Lynda Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Question:

Dear Brother;

I realise that many of our dreams are just us trying to work things out or memories of things. A few years ago, I would have these dreams about adoring the Eucharist. I would dream I was in a church or at least in front of the Tabernacle or cioribum and would fall down on my face in adoration of Our Lord in the Eucharist.

 Nothing would be said but I would have this overwhelming feeling of union,love,closeness to the Lord. It is hard to describe but I would wake up and I would feel a slight feeling of the closeness or love or union with Our Lord all day. It would gradually go away and I would not have a dream again about the Eucharist for a long while. At the most I had a similar dream about 3 times in a year.

The effect these dreams had on me was a greater devotion to the Euchrist and better awareness of Our Lord in the Tabernacle. I understood it with my mind but now I understand it with my heart. I also understood how deeply fulfilling Heaven will be when we see God face to face.

Do you think that these dreams, which I don't have anymore, were sent by God to strengthen me or just a grace from God for whatever reason?

It seems to me you have answered your own question in your narrative ("The effect these dreams had on me was a greater devotion to the Eucharist and better awareness of Our Lord in the Tabernacle").
