Is the infilling of The Holy Spirit a continuous process? | Leon | Saturday, October 6, 2007 |
Question: Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; - Does this mean that we continuously receive the Holy Spirit. Or have we received the fullness of The Holy Spirit at Confirmation? God Bless, Leon |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Leon: We receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit at Baptism and Confirmation, but that fullness is not continually maintained due to sin and imperfections. We must continually seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives through living a good Christian life of worship, devotion, prayer, good works, and love. As we do these things the Holy Spirit fills our lives. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
