We will certainly be in prayer for your daughter. Having an assignment like your daughter has take a lot out of a person. I personally think that such assignments should be short-lived.

Being confronted with such evil can not only take it out of a person psychologically, but also spiritually. One may wonder how God can allow such things. It is hard to understand.

The two patron saints that would be appropriate here is St. Michael the Archangel, who is the patron of law enforcement, and St. Dymphna, who is the patroness of those with spiritual problems and patroness of incest victims and rape victims, and St. Germaine Cousin, patroness of victims of child abuse.

St. Dymphna I recommend because your daughter is having spiritual problems. Then St. Dymphna as patroness of incest and rape victims and St. Germaine as patroness of child abuse victims may be of assistance since your daughter is having to deal with such victims on a daily basis.

If would be great if she would offer devotions to these saints, but if not, you can offer your devotion on behalf of your daughter.

In addition, from are Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, I would recommend the Hedge Prayer of Protection and the Rebuking of Particular Spirits. For the rebuking prayer what may be applicable in your daughter's case is to rebuke the spirits of lust, child pornography, child abuse, rape, incest, perversion, etc. in terms of the demonic activity of the crimes she is investigating. Then also the spirits of despair, doubt, alcohol, and any other negative attributes you see in your daughter.

I love my daughter very much and I know that you love her even more. Please hear my prayer, O Lord. Bring her peace and faith in the midst of the evil that surrounds her.

Blessed Mother I ask for your help you. You are a Mother of us all. Hold my daughter close in your arms. Comfort and protect her. Give her the strength to do her work and keep her faith. Cleanse her mind of all that would harm her soul. Send your motherly warmth and reassurance to her.

I ask all these things with the intercessions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, Blessed Michael the Archangel, Sts. Dymphna and Germaine, and all the saints and angels of heaven, and powerful in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
