Where did the apostles get the baskets from? | Linda | Tuesday, June 12, 2007 |
Question: Dear Bro. Ignatius; My son's question is where did the baskets come from? In other words where did the apostles get the baskets to put the left over bread in? The only answer that occured to me was that because they didn't have plastic or paper bags to carry things in they would use baskets for extra clothes, baby things, etc. Because I haven't studied the culture of that time and how they did household things etc. I couldn't answer any more than that. Could you give any more info other than that? |

Dear Linda: I think you about covered it. Out of a crowd of 5000 men, plus their wives and children (probably a total crowd of more then 15,000-20,000) I am sure the apostles could secure the donation 12 baskets from among the people. God Bless,
