Question: Hi, its me again :) The priest blesses the olive oil during Chrism Mass and candles during Candlemas. I’m just wondering, is there any mass where the priest blesses the incense? Also, for private devotion/prayers, must the candles and incense be blessed by a priest first before we can use it at home? Thanks again and God Bless. |

Dear Clement: Incense is generally blessed just before it is used during the Mass or is blessed outside of Mass and then again just before its use in Mass.
