Question:

Bought this book Windswept House from Amazon, I think the guy that wrote it is a kook. First of all he says the storey is based in actual events, and that he had to write the story as fiction otherwise hed be killed. Well gee Enstine you just blew your cover now they will have to kill you! Why do people belive stuff like this, and join splinter groups like the sspx, in my area we dont have sspx we have independent Catholics they get Mass about once a month from a travelling independent priest. According to them a great aposty is upon us etc.

I supose I should ask a legitimate question sense you most likely are tired of hearing me ramble. Ok ive heard of the prophacy of three days of darkness, and a illumination of conscience. Is this Church approved, and where can I get reliable info on the matter?

Also to all the people who claim viginity is out of style Im 25 a virgin, not ugly, not fat,not stupid, not a prude, but am engaged its not as difficult as you think. There are men like this out there you just wont find them in night clubs.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Hidi:

You have the right take on Malachi Martin. He was a huckster who knew how to sell books. He did a lot of damage to the faith of millions of people.

The three days of darkness prophecies have not been approved by the Church, though there are several saints and others who talk about it.

If such a thing was that important for us to know and to heed, the Holy See would issue an instruction.

Until we hear from the Holy See on this, I would suggest not worrying about it.

I applaud you on your resolve to remain chaste until married. To remain virgin is not difficult, I agree. We just have to make the decision to be chaste and to date those people are are chaste and Godly.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
