Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Angela: Whoever told you the Triquetra is the mark of the beast is an idiot. It is a symbol of the Trinty. Does it pre-date Christianity? Yes. But so does the Cross. The Cross was originally used as a pagan symbol. So what? The Christians co-opted this symbol and made it Christian. That is all that matters. By the way, the wedding ring has pagan origins. Wait, food has pagan origins. Food pre-dates Christianity and was used by pagans to worship false gods. So we better get rid of food. :) These people are a trip. You are fine and you have NOT sinned by using this symbol. Just ignore the dingbats. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
