Question: During the course of marital foreplay, is there a problem with the involuntary emission of cowper's (pre-ejaculation) fluid. Also, what is the Church's position regarding multiple orgasms achieved by the wife during foreplay? In this regard, is there any requirement to curtail marital foreplay and, if so, what guidelines should be followed? |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Alfred: No, there is nothing wrong with involuntary emission of cowper's fluid. This is normal and does not constitute an ejaculation even though sperm may be in the fluid. The only restriction in terms of orgasm is with the male who must orgasm vaginally. The woman may reach orgasm any number of times during foreplay. I praise God that you have the courage to ask questions like this. It shows that you have a proper understanding of the marital embrace as an godly act. I wish more people where as thoughtful and concerned about pleasing God in their sexuality. God Bless,
