Did Jesus have faith? Jon Monday, January 10, 2005

Question:

Hello Br,

My ? is simple, but the answer is quite complex. Did Jesus have faith when he was on earth in his biological form.

Also what is the teaching on Christ be fully aware of his being from the get go. How could he be 100% man if he did not grow in his knowledge or learn, that is a main differance between devine and man kind. Angels do not learn for instance.

I struggle with this becuase of the Gospels show that he did learn about his role overtime, but knew from early one that he was the Son. Any light??

Peace :-)
Big Jon

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Jon:

Jesus, who was the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, did know who he was. How can God not know who He is?

In terms of his humanity, he grew in wisdom, without ceasing to be the all wise and knowing God.

Here is an article that might help: DID JESUS KNOW HE WAS GOD? by Anthony Zimmerman, S.V.D

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
