Question Title Posted By Question Date
what is a good website for Catholic teachings? Beth Sunday, January 2, 2005

Question:

Are there any searchable websites about the Catholic faith that you would recommend for readability (for lay people) and thoroughness? So many Catholic sites I try seem either quite narrow in scope or very dense and difficult to understand. I am well read, college-educated, and literate, yet it makes my head hurt to try to wade through some of the intricate reasoning and esoteric theology I run into on the Web.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Beth:

Catholic Answers has some short and readable pamphlets about various aspects of the faith.

The Knights of Columbus. The has a couple of excellent online basic study courses on the Faith that will give you 100% accuracy on Church teaching in a very understandable and readable fashion.

For more in depth study try the online study courses created by Scott Hahn at the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. While these courses are in depth they are designed for the average person and are very excellent. Scott Hahn has helped many average Catholics get on fire with their Faith. I HIGHLY recommend his teaching tapes as well.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
