Is it right to hide within the Church? | Manuel | Sunday, November 28, 2004 |
Question: I am going through bad times with family and school. Is it right for me to restrict my opinions with the ones of the Church as well as believing them. Is it right not to question them and try to find my own. And when i do this am i challenging the Church that i love and believe in? Please help me. Thankyou. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Manuel: Why do you want to find your own opinion apart from the Church? The Church is the foundation and pillar of truth. We need to submit our opinions in obedience to the Church who holds the keys to the kingdom and has been commissioned by God Himself to be the guardian of truth. We can certainly ask questions about the faith, but when we do that we need to do it like a student in school -- with the intent of finding the truth and accepting it, rather than as a means to challenge. I am not really sure what you are asking. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
