Question:

Dear Brother Ignatius,

This is in reply to the question from Lisa about the color significance of mantillas. I had read somewhere that traditionally, unmarried women and girls wore white mantillas, while married women wore black or colored ones. These days, though, women are wearing whatever color they feel like. God bless you,
Shelley

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM+

Dear Shelley:

Thanks for the information. Is there such a thing as any adult qualified to wear the white mantilla? :) just kidding, but wonders in this day and age.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
