Dear Cass: Several Catholic universities offer online classes, though most of them will require at least some time on campus. The primary school that allows a degree entirely online is the Catholic Distance University. I highly recommend this 100% online university, and is the only Catholic school that is 100% online as far as I am aware. This university offers a Master of Arts in Theology. There are no graduate schools that will admit someone without a Bachelor's degree. The Catholic Distance University does offer an Associate of Arts degree in Catholic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology. If you already have some knowledge in some field or two, or can study up on a few areas, you can get a Bachelor's degree in quick order by taking exams in various areas, or you can take regular courses, at Excelsior College 100% online. I highly recommend it for an online secular school. Do not enroll in Phoenix University. It might be cheaper, but it is not respected much. Excelsior is part of University of New York - Regents College. It is the oldest university where one can get a degree 100% online. It began in 1971. It is highly respected.
