Dream and Saint Agrippina Crystal Saturday, February 7, 2015

Question:

Dear Brother:

I wanted your insight about a dream I had, as I believe it may have involved Saint Agrippina.

I had a dream that I was in my Maternal Grandmother's (is deceased) old neighborhood, but I was going grocery shopping with my Mother. As we were going into the store, my Mother said she wasn't up to shopping and decided to wait in the car. I was with a tall woman with brown hair whom had a very pretty daughter around 13 or 14 years old. While I was in the supermarket, I asked the Delivery Clerk how long would it take him to delivery my groceries and he said it would be a while, as he had 10 deliveries awaiting. As I was speaking to the Delivery Clerk in my dream, the tall woman in my dream started shaking and her daughter was screaming whereas I went to her aid and said: "Agrippina" "What's wrong"?; in which she said "I'm having a panic attack" and the dream ended.

I told my Mother about this dream and where it was located, and she also had a dream about my Grandmother as well, in which in her dream she said my Grandmother had purchased a new home and wanted us to move.

I read up further on Saint Agrippina whom performed many miracles and also about patronage. I'm not sure what this dream meant, as Agrippina is not a common name and I called out Agrippina to the woman in my dream, my Mother has a form of anxiety whereas she cannot be in crowds or stores for long periods of time without having a panic attack and I also have bouts of anxiety and the fact that both my Mom and I had dreams pertaining to my Grandmother whom was a devout Catholic.

Is it possible for the Holy Spirit to direct us to pray to a Saint and can a Saint come to us in our dreams? However, I am puzzled about what my Grandmother's influence is, as she was part of both my dream and my Mother's as well.

I've never prayed to Saint Agrippina whom appears to be a lovely Saint, and wanted to know your insight about this, as I've been currently having some minor health related issues and if she can help and direct me with her intercession, I would be very thankful and appreciative.

If you could give me your opinion about this, I would be grateful.

Thank you,
God Bless,
Crystal

Dear Crystal:

The Agrippina in your story cannot be the Saint as a Saint in heaven will not be having a "panic attack" or treating a child that way.

Dreams are usually the brain's creative way of working out anxieties, fears, concerns, stresses, and problems in our lives. Your dream has no more significance than that. Your mother's anxiety about crowds and stores, her panic attacks and bouts of anxiety provided the fuel for your dream. The fact that both your mother and yourself dreamed about your grandmother is just coincidence.

I do not get into dream interpretation as I find that it usually has little significance.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
