Question:

Dear Brother,

I have written post to you and have always received wonderful advice which I truly appreciate. I also
Since the last time I wrote a post explaining that I've experienced a lot of trauma in my life throughout the years; things seem to be improving as I am seeing a Therapist whom is great and feel that is helping me immensely.

I have also said many prayers and have forgiven those who have caused distress within my life and I feel like a burden has been lifted.

Although I have not been baptized in any religion, I grew up in a Catholic and Lutheran household and have always adored the Saints. As I mentioned in previous post, I use to have Associates who were into the Santeria religion. Even though I did not do any initiation into that religion, I ended friendships with these individuals as God revealed to me that these were not the people I needed to associate myself with. However one of my Acquaintances at that time, suggested in praying to Our Lady of Charity to assist with health and financial matters and any difficulties.

I use to pray to Our Lady of Charity for intercession and she seemed to help me, but because this was suggested by an individual of that religion; I noticed that at certain times in praying to Our Lady of Charity, I would experience lightheadedness and felt strange, therefore I stopped praying to her.

Recently I had 2 dreams involving Our Lady. In the first dream I was in my home redecorating my bedroom and my Neighbor was helping me and panicked as she did not see a statue of Our Lady. I showed my Neighbor a small statue of Our Lady that was placed on my dresser in which my Neighbor was relived and the dream ended. The second dream I had involved my Grandmother, telling me to go to church and leave a donation and don't forget to say a prayer to Our Blessed Mother.

A few days ago I was watching a program on the EWTN network whereas the host stated that we need to prayer to Our Lady for protection, guidance, spiritual warfare, and more and because of these dreams I've had; I feel like the Holy Spirit is telling me to start praying to Our Blessed Mother again.

Because I am not actually baptized as Catholic, but love Our Blessed Mother, I don't know what prayer to say as there are many prayers to Our Lady and which Our Lady should I pray to, as there is Our Lady of Carmel, Our Lady of Peace and more. I have been reluctant because of that experience I had in past whereas I got dizzy and lightheaded after praying to her and I'm not sure as to what to do.

If you could give me some advice about this, I would be grateful; because I feel that I need to be praying to Our Blessed Mother as part of my Christian life.

Thank you,
God Bless,
Crystal

Dear Crystal:

Sorry for the long overdue answer.

I praise God for your positive report report, your doing well with your therapist and especially that you are praying.

I also praise God for your interest in our Blessed Mother. There are hundreds of prayers to our Blessed Mother, foremost is the Rosary. It does not matter which prayers your choose. They are all good and beneficial.

The dizziness is the devil's attempt to get you to stop praying. You must persevere through that.

But, there is one very important thing you must do, for your soul and for protection. You need to be baptized. Technically, a person is not a Christian if they have not been validly baptized. Especially with your devotion to our Blessed Mother, and because the Catholic Church is the only Church in the fullness of the faith and the Church that Jesus personally founded, you need to become Catholic.

To start that process, make an appointment with a priest at a local Catholic Church. Tell him that you wish to join the Catholic Church and be baptized. He will instruct you from there.

I am happy that you are doing well. I will pray that you come into communion with Jesus' Church, the Catholic Church.

Here is a list of many Prayers to Mary.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
