Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCL, LTh, DD, LNDC
Dear Christina: The Church does not regulate private devotions. Any private devotional prayer, such as the Rosary or novenas, etc. can be altered, modified, or said in any way you wish. There are no regulations. Thus, there really is no such thing as saying a private devotion invalidly. In any event, you said the wrong mystery by mistake; it was not deliberate. Do not worry about it. Just continue on with the Novena. There is no such thing "invalidly" saying a novena. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
