Question: Hello Brother, I recently found out that the products from Monastery Icons may be used in occult rituals. I have several icons from them and until recently have thought of them as being beautiful Now, I am concerned. Have you heard about any of this? Here is a link to more information here. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCL, LTh, DD, LNDC Dear Marie: Unless I missed it, there is nothing in that article that says that the icons created by the organization, Monastery Icons, were used in any occult rituals. From what I understand, the organization Monastery Icons is a rather confused New Age mishmash of ideas and practices. As for the icons, anyone can produce beautiful art. Since the icons from Monastery Icons are coming from a dubious group, I would have your icons blessed by a priest and then it should be okay.
