Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), CCL, LTh, DD, LNDC
Dear Fred: The alleged private revelations of Maria Simma have not been approved by her bishop or the Holy See that I can find. Given that, the Faithful is not to presume her "revelations" are true. In addition, nearly all information about her comes from her groupies. This is a red flag. Another red flag is that she invites people to contact her for information on their dead loved ones. This is a big red flag as she is acting like a medium or psychic. And what if she is tells us wrongly that our loved one is in heaven or hell? Someone in heaven does not need our prayers, and someone in hell cannot benefit from our prayers. Thus, if Maria is wrong we stop praying for a poor soul still in purgatory. The indicators here are BIG RED FLAGS. And, in any event, Maria's alleged private revelations are not approved by the Church and thus they cannot be considered as coming from God. Have I read the book? No, and I never intend to. I do not waste my time on so-called private revelations that have not be certified by the Church as coming from God. I advise that you and everyone to stay away from this person's writings until such time, if it every comes, that the Church officially approves her private revelations.
