Dear Patrick: You got it. That is why we say during the Holy Mass, "Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed" and why God promises in 1 John 1:0, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness" and in 1 Cor 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it", to mention but a few of God's promises.
