Confirmation Validity | Rowan | Sunday, December 9, 2012 |
Question: My question concerns my confirmation validity many years ago. It seems that I might have been in a state of mortal sin when I did my confirmation, although, I don't clearly remember. Was my confirmation valid if I was in a state of mortal sin? I am afraid I might have not received all the graces intended. Thank you ahead of time. God Bless. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)
Dear Rowan: Your confirmation is valid. Your personal sins do not invalidate the Sacrament. Of course, you needed to go to confession. When your sins were absolved and you were restored to a state of Grace, all graces are yours. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
