Question:

What are your inspiring thoughts on trusting God's Will in all things?

Thank you.

Question Answered by

Dear Kelly:

Well, we can trust God because God does not lie and always keeps his promises. If God broke any promise he would be a liar, a deceiver. Being the deceiver is what Satan does. Jesus said that the devil is the father of all lies:

(John 8:44) "You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Satan lies because that is his nature. God never lies because Truth and Love are his nature.

We can bank on the trustworthiness of God.

God will never lead us astray because he loves us. God can do nothing that violates love because he is love itself. 1 Corinthians 13 describes this agape love of God:

(1 Cor 13:4-8a)  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.

God loves us no matter what we do. Nothing, but nothing can separate us from His love. St. Paul affirms this in Romans 8:35, 37-39...

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What a great promise of God. We might fail Him, but He never fails us.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
