Can loved ones hear our prayers | Christina | Thursday, July 26, 2012 |

Question Answered by
Dear Christina: We know that God allows Canonized Saints to hear our prayers and to intercede for us. If others in heaven can hear our prayers it will only be if God allows it. Hebrews 12:1 tells us that we are surrounded by a "cloud of witnesses". This implies that those in heaven may have knowledge of our lives on earth. The bottomline, however, is that we do not know what our loved ones know of us here on earth or if they can hear our prayers to them. It is God's decision according to His perfect love and mercy. What we do know is that God does allow this to the canonized Saints, therefore He may allow the same to the other saints in heaven (all persons in heaven are saints, even if they are not canonized). God Bless,
