Question:

Dear Brother,

Thank you for answering my question. You concluded by pointing out that we are to avoid rash judgement. Although my first reaction to this was pride-filled and less than positive, the more I thought about it, you are right. How easy it is to slip into this way of thinking! Thank you for pointing this out, and I expect to learn from it in hopes of avoiding such a trap in the future.

God Bless You.

Question Answered by

Dear Patrick:

You are most welcomed.

Rash Judgment is so easy to slip into. We all do it from time to time. Some people do it all the time (e.g., gossips).

It seems to be human nature to jump to the negative. I will be writing an essay on that subject.

Anyway, since this is a problem for all people, we sometimes need to be reminded that it is actually a grave sin.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
