Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)
Dear Padraic Glynn: Jesus said, "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only" (Matthew 24:36) Anyone who claims to know the end of the world is either an idiot, deluded, or demonically inspired. Regardless of which it is, such a person is certainly a false prophet. These false prophets continue to set date after date. They are no deterred when their predictions do not come true. Camping's last end-of-the-world date was September 1994. What is amazing is that people still follow these false prophets even after their predictions fail to come true over and over again. Such a person will be held accountible before God for the fear and anxiety he causes to the weak in faith. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
