THE BISHOPS AND MEDJUGORJE MIKE Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Question:

IS CARDINAL SCHONBORN COMMITTING A SERIOUS SIN AGAINST HIS CHURCH ETC BY DEFYING THE PRESENT STATUS? HIS APPROVAL WAS CLEAR FOR ALL TO SEE .

YOUR ANSWERS DO NOT MAKE SENSE BECAUSE SUPPORTERS ONLY GO THERE BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE COMPLETELY AND RETURN TO AUTHENTICATE THEIR BELIEFS.

PANDEMONIUM WOULD ENSUE IF ANY NEGATIVE DECISION WAS EVEN IMPLIED . RIGHT NOW , THOUSANDS , NAY MILLIONS , ARE IN DISOBEDIENCE .SURELY FATIMA WAS APPROVED BEFORE THE FINAL SECRET

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Mike:

Next time please do not type in all CAPITAL letters. It is very hard to read that way.

The Church is very clear about Medjugorje. It is not approved at this time and "official" pilgrimages are not allowed.  Any priest may visit Medjugorje privately. As stated by the Director of the Holy See's Press Office, Dr. Joaquin Navarro-Valls:

The problem is if you systematically organize pilgrimages, organize them with the bishop and the Church, you are giving a canonical sanction to the facts of Medjugorje. This is different from people going in a group who bring a priest with them in order to go to confession.

As for Cardinal Schönborn, he has apologized to Medjugorje's Bishop Ratko Peric over the confusion of his visit to the alleged apparition site. The Cardinal's personal secretary said the visit was “private” and not intended to “make a statement” about the authenticity of the apparitions, which do not have Vatican approval.

As for pandemonium if a negative decision is made by the Church, that will only happen if people are not obedient to the Church. Any loyal Catholic will be obedient to the decision of the Church. The fact that 1000's of people have visited Medjugorje and have received graces there does not make it legitimate. God can grant graces to anyone he pleases anywhere he pleases. He honors people's faith -- even if Medjugorje apparitions are false (which is the current judgment of the local Bishops).

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
