Question Title Posted By Question Date
praying for miracles from a deceased relative Peter Monday, October 18, 2010

Question:

Dear Brother, I've been wondering what the rule is for praying for a miracle from a deceased relative. I know we are not allowed to contact the dead and we don't know if the deceased relative is in heaven or not. So how do we go about it without breaking any rules?
Thank you.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Peter:

Your relative may not be in a position to help you. I would suggest praying for assistance to a known Saint, perhaps a Saint who is a patron for whatever issue you are dealing with. Then with that, you can certainly add, for example,  "And grandma, if you can help, please help me."

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
