Question: Hello, I'm wondering what Taize meditation is about and never heard about it until I was invited by a Young Adults group (at a parish I sometimes visit) to have that type of prayer at the beach at night. I declined the invitation because I didn't know what it was about. I did a quick on-line search and it appears that it was started in France. Please offer your comments on it. We need to be Catholic. Without knowing specifically what your experienced there is not much more that I can say about it. There does not appear to be any problem with the Taize Community in France, but that does not mean that everything is okay with local parishes and groups who are borrowing things from the French community. Sometimes people will borrow ideas from a group like Taize and take those ideas into a different direction other than that which was intended.
