Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM+
Dear Jon: Thanks for the question. It is a good quesiton. Satan hates us so much because we are made in the image of God but especially because we will be lifted above the angels in the end. Some think this is why Satan rebelled -- because his pride could not take the idea that these puny biological organisms (humans) would be lifted higher than him and that he will have to serve us. Satan hates us because he hates God and we are the penacle of His creation, even above the angels in ultimate glory. We will be "like God" in that we may be resurrected unto eternal life with a gloried body that will be like that of the resurrected Christ. Satan hates us because we seek God and not him. Satan hates us because he hates anything and anyone God loves. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
