twilight series | stacey | Thursday, January 14, 2010 |
Question: I was working late last night and had to get something out of a co-workers office. I noticed a set of black books on her shelf. They were the Twilight series. I looked through some of them and they made me sick. She had other books, all vampire novels. My sister-in-law also reads these. I don't understand the fascination with the vampire culture. These books seem to target young women in their teens and twenties. When the last Twilight movie came out at the local theater, they had young girls "camping out" for hours to get tickets. Our local news station went to the theater and interviewed some of them. Our local blood bank was also giving out copies of the book in return for blood donations. |

Question Answered by
Dear Stacey: The Twilight series is one of the most perverted books and film productions ever made. The idea from this show is a subtle message of necrophilia (sex with dead people). A person having sex with a vampire is necrophilia (a vampire is dead). This trend, seen in other films, too, is very disturbing. I imagine the attraction to girls is the "bad-boy" syndrome. Girls, for some stupid reason, seem to be attracted to the "bad boys". No one is as bad as a vampire -- the ultimate bad boy. I'd have to discuss this with a psychologist to try to discern why else girls have an attraction to perversion. The female brain is a mystery to me .
