John Paul 2 an apostasy? antichrist? John Wednesday, October 28, 2009

Question:

i was recently on a site that was condeming the bayside prophecies and at the same time they were condeming JP2.

"The above message also tells us that John Paul II was “good.” This is arguably the worst part of the Bayside Message. John Paul II praised all the different false religions and taught that we shouldn’t convert non-Catholics, as our material documents. John Paul II was an evil, Christ-rejecting heretic. Through Veronica Lueken, the Devil wanted to convince people that a man who preached a new Gospel, promoted idolatry and religious indifferentism was actually “good.” "

they were saying he was an anti christ and he commited apostasy?

also why did he hang around and vist so many leaders of different religions? he went to pray with them in thier temples and mosques, i find this a little strange.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM+

Dear John:

The Bayside apparition is a false apparition and officially condemned by the Church. Given what happened there it is pretty clear that there was a demonic element I think.

As for Pope John Paul being an apostate or the anti-Christ, that is shear nonsense. Only an idiot or a mentally disturbed person would say such a thing. And I mean that. These people who think Pope John Paul was a heretic or whatnot are mentally ill, I believe.

Why did Pope John Paul meet with so many leaders of different religions? Because Jesus said to do that. We are to preach the Gospel to ALL nations and ALL peoples. That means talking with leader of the various religions.

With that said, most of the nonsense you hear that Pope John Paul did in this regard are outright lies. Remember the source. The source of this nonsense are mentally ill people.

Pope John Paul never once did anything wrong. He was one of the greatest representatives of Christ in the history of Christianity.

The Catechism states:

2478 To avoid rash judgment, everyone should be careful to interpret insofar as possible his neighbor's thoughts, words, and deeds in a favorable way:

The people who say these things about the Pope try hard to interpret anything he does as evil. They do not even try to understand why the Pope did what he did. This is the grave sin of rash judgment.

Do not fall into their sin. Ignore these lunes.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary

Every good Christian ought to be more ready to give a favorable interpretation to another's statement than to condemn it. But if he cannot do so, let him ask how the other understands it. And if the latter understands it badly, let the former correct him with love. If that does not suffice, let the Christian try all suitable ways to bring the other to a correct interpretation so that he may be saved.
