Unheaded messages from our Lady | Hadrian | Tuesday, October 27, 2009 |
Question: How is it that the Church can be stubborn about messages from our Lady. The consegration of Russia was postponed for so long; Medjugorjie and other well known apperitions are not yet recognized by the church. Warnings from Her are never passed on to the faithful. I often follow these sites where our Lady hands down messages but not one is ever passed on by the Church. So why does our Mother really bother! Is not the Church failing our Mother? How is it that tears on statues perported to be of our Lady always smeared and not looking genuine at all? This all puzzels me! And why so many "Secrets" in her messages if they are for ALL the faithful - they can be unnerving. |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM+
Dear Hadrian: The Consecration of Russia was accomplished. Sr. Lucia said it was done, and Pope John Paul II said it was done. Case Closed. These people who still claim that Russia has not been consecrated are lunes and need to see a psychiatrist. Medjugorje is most likely a false apparition. It does not have the marks of a genuine apparition and local bishops have disapproved it. But, the Holy See is the one who ultimately decides. The Holy See will NOT decide until the apparitions permanently cease. Maybe that is why these alleged apparitions have not ceased -- because then the Holy See would make a decision, and the seers are afraid the decision will be negative. The Church does approve messages of Mary to be distributed when they have been declare valid, but the Church will not approve such distribution until she is sure the apparition is really Mary. If the apparition is false then it is based upon the person's imagination or even demonically caused. The Church has the responsibility to protect the faithful against false prophets and apparitions. As for secrets, I have no idea what you are talking about. To my knowledge there are not a lot of secrets in Marian messages. The Three Secrets of Fatima were never for the public and the public has no right to know what they are. Those Secrets were to the Popes. They were to be public ONLY if the Pope decided to make them public. Pope John Paul II did make them public. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
