Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Daniel: For "private use" means that the Little Office is to be used by the individual, not by a monastery to say the Divine Office, or a public recitation of the Divine Office in a parish. The Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary is approved by the Sacred Congregation as an alternative to the regular Divine Office. Thus, it is "praying with the Church" as a form of Divine Office. The other "little offices" you list are not approved as an alternative to the regular Divine Office as far as I know and thus would be only a personal devotion and not "praying with the Church." God Bless,
