Question:

why there is so much hatred today? many thinks that christian is wrong, muslim is right, i try to preach christianity to her but she won't listen. how am i suppose to do that, if preaching been so easy then it will not be any war.
how do i tell the children then?

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Raymond:

The primary reason there is so much hatred in the world is because people do not obey God's commandment to Love Him with all one's heart, mind, and soul; and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Instead of obeying God in this commandment to love, we appeal to our own pride, ego, wishes, desires, grudges, and lack of faith. One who says they have faith in God and hates others is a liar. Such a person has no faith, because faith in God brings love not hatred.

In terms of telling others about Christ, our job and mission is to just share our faith with others. It is not our job to convince or convert them -- that is the job for the Holy Spirit. Our job is to be the messenger. Let God do the convincing and converting.

This means that we have to allow people to reject Christ, even if the person is a loved one or family member. We cannot force anyone to believe, we can only present the message.

Those who do not listen to the Gospel of Peace and Truth, commit to prayer, but don't get into big arguments. Remember, we are just the messenger.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
