Question: What do you know about this site(http://www.pdtsigns.com/The_Illumination_Sign_and_Chastisement_near.html) Some claim there was a certain speaker recently in Texas that these events were to happen soon during our current administration. Also that we must not allow chips to be implanted on us because the government will then be able to track us wherever we go and we will not be allowed to worship in our churches which has caused consternation on some people. God Bless.

Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Chas: We need to ignore sites like that and ignore all rhetoric about end times prophecies except that which comes from the Church and qualified theologians. The rest is nonsense. Jesus said that NO ONE will know the date of the second coming. That means no one, not even the Pope. To spread fear, that these doomsayers do, is evil. God is not a God of fear. Remember, it matters not when the "end" comes since your end will happen whenever you step in front of a bus, etc. We need to prepare our souls to meet our maker TODAY. If we do that then a coming chastisement and illumination or whatever will not be a big deal as we will be prepared. If we are not prepared or to the degree we are not prepared, then, as in purgatory, we might suffer but it will be a bitter-sweet suffering as we know that it is for our good and the perfecting of our soul.
