Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Anthony:

Thank you for your kind words about our apostolate.

The current catechism is the Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2nd Edition.

This volume contains the summary of Catholic teaching and includes extensive footnotes and Indexes to Biblical passages and Church documents.

Another books to go along with the Catechism is the book by Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, called the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This volume contains the quotations of the references footnoted in the Catechism. It would cost hundreds of dollars to buy the individual books that are referenced in the footnote, so this book is invaluable to read the passages from the source material referenced in footnotes.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
