Question: Hello and God bless you As you know better than me many saints spoke about necessity of mental prayer .as for me I could not meditate on passion heaven and hell howevr much I tried they caused me headache and exhastion BUT when I meditate on our lord as a man eating sleeping and sitting etc. my heart gets warm and I think I want to fly to him to embrace him I thought that I have spiritual gluttony but when I make this kind of mental prayer I can overcome my habitual sins and as soon as I give it up I return to the same sins NOW my question :do we have such thing as meditating on jesus in his ordinary life in catholic spirituality?
