Eucharist is..... Catherine Monday, June 23, 2008

Question:

what is the difference between the omnipresence of God (e.g in your room street etc. )and his presence in the eucharist ?This question may seem silly to catholics But remember that I am not Yet baptized and have silliness of a pagan

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Catherine:

The omnipresence of God is His Spirit present everywhere. The Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity. The Eucharist is the literal presence of the body of Christ.

Thus, God omnipresence is spiritual. God's presence in the Eucharist is both physical (of the Incarnate God, Jesus Christ) and spiritual -- the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
