Church in Heaven | Carol | Tuesday, June 17, 2008 |
Question: Is there any specific teaching about what the Holy Catholic Church will be like in eternity, particularly after the final judgment? Will the Holy Mass be celebrated by those who are in heaven? Will the truth of the Catholic Church be so obvious that even saved Protestants and those of other traditions will finally admit their salvation ultimately came through Catholicism? |

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM
Dear Carol: There will be no need for Mass in heaven as we will be with Christ in his full glory. There is no need for a memorial as we will be with Christ in heaven. The sacrifice will have been fulfilled and thus there will be no more need for sacrifice. We will be in the promised land with our Lord. The truth of the Church is the truth of God, so yes, Protestants will discover that the Catholic Church was the only Truth Church in the fullness of the faith and that their salvation was through Her. Everyone in heaven, as it were, will be Catholic. God Bless, Footer Notes: This forum is for general questions on the faith.
