Question: Dear Bro. Ignatius Mary, I keep hearing about revisions to the Divine Office. Are these revisions going to be so major that I would have to purchase a complete new set? I ask this question since I recently purcased a four volume leather set a few months ago for a pretty penny! Anway, I really enjoy the Divine Office, and if they did come out with a major revision, I guess I would have to go out and buy another..but I would prefer not to since these leather sets are a bit pricey. Dear Joseph: I have no idea about the "revisions". My philosophy is the "energizer bunny" philosophy -- I just keeps going and going and going -- with the books I have now and will worry about a revision if and when it ever comes out in my lifetime. Whenever a major revision of something like this comes out, it is usually permissible to continue with the old version for a period of time in transition until one can afford to re-buy the volumes.
