Canticle of Zechariah Jonathan Saturday, September 29, 2012

Question:

Good day sir,

I have the Catholic Book Publishing Corp 4 volume set, and I'm having a problem finding the Canticle of Zechariah in the fourth volume. It just cuts off after the antiphon and proceeds to the Intercessions. I figured it would be somewhere else in the volume so I checked the index of Canticles and there is no mention of any "Zecharian" canticles there. None of the supplements have it either. I'm not sure if this is a defect of my copy or what?

Thank you in advance.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Jonathan:

The Canticle of Zechariah is located in the Ordinary, in the Morning Prayer, called the Gospel Canticle, beginning on page 620.

In similar manner, the Canticle of Mary is in the Ordinary, in Evening Prayer, also called the Gospel Canticle, beginning on page 633.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
