Question: I pray the office at all 7 hours. When I pray the daytime hours I use the office provided in the LOBVM and the complementary psalmody from LOH. Is this kosher? |

Dear Michael: I think it would be best to use either the Liturgy of the Blessed Virgin Mary OR the Liturgy of the Hours rather than to mix them in a given Hour. I do not see any problem using the LBVM for one hour and the Divine Office for another Hour, but mixing them within the same Hour is contrary to the charism and design of the liturgy. God Bless, |
