Some who claim the pope is antichrist! Lisa Monday, September 13, 2004

Question:

I just had to write about this because I had NEVER heard of this, but since these contentions are made by a so-called Catholic "friend" (whom I do not befriend anymore because he is so opinionated---and right in his eyes) has a website called Refuge of Sinners. I know him personally, and am wondering how he came to this conclusion( I am definitely afraid of asking him personally).

Is this the same as the Sede Vacantists who believe that the pope is the antipope, or is this a different thing?

When I read some of that stuff, it really made me dizzy. I will never read it again because it makes me angry! Life is hard enough in general, and decisions are difficult enough to make about our Faith, but this literature gave me a discouraging feeling that if I don't happen to make the absolutely "orthodox" decision and go their way, I could end up in hell. There is no room for God's mercy according to these weird arguments. But it is my belief that I should stay with my church and loyal to Pope John Paul II (whom he disrespectfully refers to as Karol).

I know this is strange, and I hope you respond.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM+

Dear Lisa:

I am afraid that your friend is an idiot and a wacko. He has left the True Catholic Faith exchanging that True Faith for a doctrine of demons. It is sad.

The "orthodox" decision is to remain loyal and obedient to our Holy Father Pope John Paul II. Your friend is not orthodox, he is a nut ball. He claims that Pope John Paul II worships Satan. He sits in judgement as a self-proclaimed Pope over the Pope and the Church as if "he" had any authority to define Church teaching. Frankly I think he and all others like him are probably mentally ill.

We need to pray for them in hopes they will be healed of their scrupulosity, arrogance, pride, schism, heresy, disobedience, rebellion, slander, lost faith, and blasphemy. One of the worst sins a person can commit is to attribute the works of God to the works of Satan. This man is in serious trouble.

Also pray that he will return to the True Church.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
