Dear Darell: Sorry for the delay in answering. This question got lost for a while. Your question is the same kind of question as, "When did you stop beating your wife?" It is not a question, but is either a bigoted or an ignorant accusation. The Church is extremely concerned about its members who choose to gravely sin. People who contracept are risking their souls to hell. Neither God, nor the Church wants that. The Church cares so much about this that Popes have issued several encylcicals and other documents about this, including the major document that caused a Tsunami of Truth to wash over in our culture, Humanae Vitae, written by Pope Paul VI in 1968. Now, there are bishops and priests who have dropped the ball on this definitive teaching of the Church, which is not the fault of the Church, but is the sin of those individual bishops and priests. They will be held accountable. God Bless, |
